Element #4: Exercise

Exercise_2 This is the fourth and final Element to introduce, and then we will start getting more specific and sophisticated, incorporating all these elements into your fitness regime.
Ok, here we go - after all the nutritional tips and cleansing guidance, it’s time to get to work and work is what the body was built for.  The body craves activity.                .

Throughout history, people just couldn’t make a living without using their bodies. 40% of all Americans lived on farms and 80% of all farm work was done with human labor.  People were walking wherever they went and doing chores at home.  Obesity was so uncommon that it was considered a sign of success.
Well - my, oh, my - how times have changed.
Now, it’s my job to bring fitness back into your life, so it’s part of your life forever. I do this in two ways: through efficiency and fun. It needs to be efficient.  And it needs to be fun.  If it’s not efficient, there’s no point in doing it, and if it’s not fun, you won’t keep it up. My approach is built around the modern lifestyle and geared for fast results. So get ready - a lot of good stuff heading your way!!!

Element #3: Cleansing - First of many on this topic

This next blog is a little lengthy, my apologies but it’s important. It’s time to get down to business and give you real insight so you will furthermore understand why I am here and why I work so hard for your loyalty and respect. This is not your typical waste of space health blog, I promise you that. This blog is for all of us; it’s about tangible information that we can use and better yet, share. This is a give and take relationship, so let me here from you.  Remember, we are all in this together.

Time of transformation and health is now; ok enough here we go.

Cleansing is the element of fitness nobody ever talks about.  I don’t know why.  It’s vitally important.  I think that most fitness experts simply don’t really know much about it.  They tend to focus myopically on hard-core body image issues, such as body-fat percentage and muscle strength.  They usually don’t pay enough attention, however, to the important, holistic health forces that impact these body image issues, such as general health, energy levels, and mood.
Health, energy, and a positive mood – which are absolutely essential for achieving long-term fitness – depend upon several major factors.  One of the most important of these factors is toxicity.

Our bodies are constantly exposed to a barrage of toxins, and these toxins can wreak irrevocable harm upon health, energy, and mood.  They can single-handedly destroy even the best fitness programs.

Many of the toxins that invade our bodies come straight from the environment – from air pollution, water pollution, and exposure to chemicals.  Even more come from the foods we eat, which are often tainted with pesticides, herbicides, food dyes, and rancid fats.  Other toxins come from alcohol, cigarettes, recreational drugs, and even the pharmaceutical drugs that we take to stay healthy.  Still others are macro-toxins, such as yeast overgrowth and parasites.
It’s very possible that you’re suffering from an uncomfortable toxic reaction right now, but just aren’t aware of it.  Maybe you think this is just how your body naturally feels – rather sluggish and touchy.
Trust me your body will feel better when it’s clean - pure and simple!
Here are just some of the conditions that are caused by excessive toxicity in the cells and tissues:
                                           POISON PROBLEMS
          •          Joint pain                                   •          Bad breath
          •          Chronic cough                          •          Allergies
          •          Nasal congestion                               Inflammation
          •          Fatigue                                                 Sore throat
          •          Headache                                            Depression
          •          Skin blemishes                                  Asthma

And here’s the most common condition: You just don’t feel good.  Not too scientific, right?  But you know the feeling I’m talking about, don’t you?  It feels kind of like having a hangover – but without having had the celebration, first.

You cannot be fit if you’re toxic.  You can be brave about working out, and persevere, even when you don’t feel good.  Until you detoxify your cells, you just won’t have the energy to make significant changes in your body.  You’ll never get to the next level of fitness. Ok, so what do we do? How do we cleanse? In coming posts I am going to share with you this amazing world of cleansing. I will educate you, inspire you, and give you point blank "to do tips" as well as incredible testimonies and shared experiences.
To learn more about cleansing right now, you can go to www.holisticfitness.com or more specifically, http://www.holisticfitness.com/store/storepopup_cleanse1.htm , and you can buy our cleanses here .
All the best in health.

Element #1: Mind and Spirit

Ki2_2You.  You are your mind and your spirit working with your body.
I want to get in to a series of posts discussing the Four Elements of Fitness and I will start with the first one: Mind and Spirit.
I don’t want to sound too “new agey”, but to be truly fit - really, completely fit - your Mind and Spirit have to be fit.
The first step is to realize that you control your Mind, not the other way around.  On this blog, I will discuss my One Body, One Life program and I know it can help you, but mostly it will help you help yourself.  The way to achieve your goals is to generate the mental strength to be in control so as to move your body forward towards them.
People call Spirit many things, but to me Spirit is energy.  Inside us it is a reservoir of strength.  Sometimes it is hard to find – maybe it is under layers of stress, fat, fear, regret, disappointment – but it is actually always full and waiting to be tapped.
Getting a feel for your Spirit and getting to know and control your Mind, which I will help you do, are keys to being able to perform the important mental and spiritual feats that lead to holistic fitness.
