Duck Squat

Here is a great combination exercise that works both the lower and
upper body. It's a great warm up tool as well as an interval exercise.

This is a great exercise to put a burn on your quads.

Greg

Hey Clinton,

Thanks for commenting. Actually, if this exercise, "The Duck Squat" burns your quads, then I'm concerned your pace is too quick, your stance is too narrow, and your not sitting down and back enough in the exercise enough.
Remember, this is for the butt and shoulders. The plates in your hand are geared to counterbalance your stance, allowing the butt and inner thigh to get comfortable and engage the exercise. If the plates are too heavy, your quads, being dominant, will take over the movement. Again, your quads would love to bio- mechanically kick in, but if the pace and focus is there, you can actually take the quads out of the exercise.
It takes practice, pace, and breath, but the goal of the focus it to also put you in your body along the way.

It's these shifts that help us go from a good body to a great body.

Sometimes it's hard to get too detailed in my videos because we try to keep them around 2 minutes in length.

Hope this extra insight helps and thanks again for the comment.

I will post this comment, as well, Clinton.

All the best in health.
Greg

Your exercises are always great. I just tried this out and felt alot of burn in my upper back. Possibly I shouldn't start out using weights.
